From the Designer:

At a recent retreat, someone asked me if I had any new Jane Austen-inspired patterns to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the author’s birth. I had not brought any with me, but it inspired me to sit down and start a new design. The resulting design is The Best Company - a fictitious sampler worked by 14-year-old Anne Elliot, the protagonist of Jane Austen’s Persuasion (published six months after Jane’s death in 1818). On it, we see Anne’s ancestral home, Kellynch Hall. The initials represent her father Sir Walter Elliot and her mother, the late Lady Elizabeth Stevenson.
