Surfing Rooster Sapelo Oyster Shucker

When we say we've tried every way possible to crack into an oyster, we mean EVERY way possible.  You'll be hard pressed to find a better way to bust open a bi-valve than this custom Sapelo Oyster Shucker made in collaboration with Sea Island Forge.  Those guys are famous for durable, high quality everything, and this shucker livers up to that heritage.

It's all one piece, so the profile is low, and fasteners or adhesives to separate.  There are no round parts, so it won't roll off the table.  The tip has been hand-hammered so it is very strong and efficient for digging, scraping, and scooping.  The back of the knife forms a spoon shape, so it securely holds the oyster and any residual flavors.  The tip forms a safe, rounded over point, allowing for two way scraping and left/right hand usage.  

Finally, with an heirloom quality shucker like this, you're going to want to hold onto this tool.  The built-in pocket/belt loop (that doubles as a bottle opener) makes sure that this guy stays secure and on your person - and out of the hands of envious brother-in-laws, and fellow shuckers.
